Beer Quick Bread

Made Beer Bread for Neighbor who is moving away.

Preheat oven 425 degrees
Oil loaf pan
~ 2.75 c WW flour
1 T baking powder
1 T brown sugar
1 t kosher salt
(I added about 2 T of ground flax seed too.)
1 11.2 oz bottle Guinness Stout  (The entire bottle)
Combine to make a wet batter.
Immediately, spoon into the loaf pan and put in the oven for around 20 minutes.
It will rise in the oven.
It should have a hollow sound when tapped.
Remove from oven and leave in the loaf pan for about five minutes.
Then put on a cooling rake until room temp!

To try next time: doubling the recipe to try to get larger slices!

Of course I didn't taste this bread as it was a gift, but when I made before was very good.  She was a very nice neighbor, wish she was able to stay.  The wife of the owner (she inherited the house from the original owner who was lovely) is sort of being forced to move in as her husband of around 35-40 years is tired of her!  A sad story.
